HAYNES, Ian Leslie O.N.Z.M. On 27 April 2022, suddenly. Born in Auckland, 22 November 1936. Dearly beloved husband of Wendy (née Gilchrist). Much loved father and father-in-law of Denise and David Simmons, Michael Haynes, and Chris and Nicola Haynes. Treasured grandfather of Daniel and Benjamin Simmons, Amelia and Winnie Rose Haynes, and Isabel, Thomas and Imogen Haynes. Loved by his many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed. Private family funeral. Memorial service at a date to be notified. 'And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.'

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to Ian's family and close friends. I know i will miss working with Ian and will miss his phone calls and cheery chatter of positivity. He was an inspiration to me and i am sure many others.. Rest in peace BF..
