Ian GINNS Obituary

GINNS, Ian Robert (Ginnsy). Born June 17, 1952. Passed away on December 05, 2023. It is with much sadness that Ginnsy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a short illness aged 71. Dearly loved husband of Jenny for 50 years, much loved father of Rob and father-in-law to Petra. Cherished Gee to Dominic, Briese and Indie he will be missed terribly by his all family and friends. A private cremation will take place. Special thanks to the wonderful team at North Shore Hospice and Personal Carers for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice would be appreciated. Ginnsy is off on another project to collect more beloved Holden memorabilia and treasures.

It's hard to put into words how much Ian meant to our family. A lifetime of wonderful memories together, inseparable! Summers at the beach, new years parties, any excuse to catch up, fish and chips in the boat on the front lawn, and endless cups of tea and visits - not a week would go by without a visit. Thank you Ian for helping to provide us with the most wonderful childhood, your endless hospitality (maybe that's where I get it from). We are going to miss you so so very much, you've left a very big gap in our lives. All our love, we know Dad will be at peace with his best mate by his side again, Kelly, Emma, and Kay Thurston xox

On behalf of the Early Holden Club of Auckland (Inc.) we send our sincere condolences to Ian's, Ginnsy's, family. Ian was a proud Holden owner and member of our club. On occasion Ian's HK Premier station wagon was seen in our displays. We were privileged to have had Ian and his Holden in our world.
