Ian GARMEY Obituary

GARMEY, Ian. Passed away at Middlemore Hospital aged 78. Dearly loved husband of Bev, great dad to Tony and Mark, doting grand dad to Emma, Jessica, Meg and Jack, brother to Stewart, David and the late Alan and John. Ian will be remembered as an absolute gentleman by all who met him. A celebration of Ian's life will be held at Fountains Funeral Home, 35 Wood Street, Papakura, Thursday 5th January at 1:00pm.

Ian was my first mate and we went to school and played together until the Garmeys left Queensbury, London and emigrated to New Zealand in about 1950. We kept in touch over the years and I will always cherish my happy memories of when we were kids.
My sincere condolences to Bev and her family for their sad loss.
