Ian FREE Obituary

FREE, Ian Laing. Passed away at 95 on 15th April 2026 in Auckland Hospital from injuries after falling at home. Beloved son of A.W. and Helen Free (nee Laing), 49 years married to Gerd (nee Nilsson), Dad to Marty and Paddy, brother to Patrick and Helen, brother in law to Guy Garland and Agne Nilsson (all deceased). Devoted grandad to Hugh and uncle to the Nilsson (Sweden) and Garland (New Zealand) clans. A celebration of Ian's life will be held Friday 24th April 12 - 4pm Devonport Yacht Club, 25 King Edward Parade.
