Dear Hughie, you will be sadly missed by the Watts Clan in Newcastle, N. Ireland. You were a great pal to fish with and the best story teller I have ever met. I am sorry we will never see you back fishing in Co. Down. Thanks for the fishing trips in NZ and all of your help and advice over the years. Hope you are casting a wee wet to a double figure trout in heaven. James

Hugh, many thanks for the long friendship from a fellow Ulsterman. It was great to spend hours on the water with you and Bob, and to enjoy the banter, the wit, and the craic. Rest easy. J.G.

A true renaissance man. Learned a lot of things from him on my many trips to N.Z. What a wonderful guy and superb angler and fly tier. The world was a better place because of Hughie.
