Hugh HOLMES Obituary

HOLMES, Hugh George Boal. Of Haumoana, and sometimes Auckland, teacher, vintner, orchardist and grower, died peacefully on Friday 15 August 2025 at Cranford Hospice in Hastings. Hugh was loved and will be missed by Val, Leroy, Benjamin and Nicholas, Antony, Felicity, Georgia and Elliot, the late Shane, Heather, Robbie, Nat, the late Margaret, and the late Sam, and all of Hugh's wider family. A service will be held on Wednesday 20 August 2025 at 1:30pm at the Hawke's Bay Crematorium and Chapel, 2020 Orchard Road, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Cranford Hospice who gave him such wonderful care in his final days.
