Hugh FINDLATER Obituary

Remembering cousin Hugh with love and wonderful memories of times gone by. From Allison family in Southland.

So sad to think 'Uncle' Hugh has passed away - I have so many lovely memories of times shared by the Kershaw and Findlater families. I last saw Hugh at the joint lunch for my late mother Pat Kershaw's 90th birthday and my brother John Kershaw's 60th birthday. As always, it was a joy to talk with him. Hugh had left NAC by the time I joined but I heard many stories about him. Later, whilst I was flying in Nigeria on leave without pay from NAC Hugh came down for a final stint. It was a pleasure to fly with him and I enjoyed his company immensely. A true gentleman and representative of that last great generation.

Dave and I send our love and very deepest condolences to you, Kevin and all your family. We have such lovely memories of your dad and hope all your wonderful memories of him help you through this sad time. What a special man he was. Rest in Peace, Hugh.

Sending much love to you all. I spent memorable times up at Kawau with Hugh. The shed was stuff of legend, as legendary as his sharp dry wit and countless stories. Was a pleasure to have known him.
