Hugh DIXON Obituary

I am Thomas Wieck. Hugh Dixon was my music teacher at Lynfield College in the years 1964-5. He was untiring in his efforts in the classroom, conducting the school orchestra, the choir, accompanying an amazing variety of items at the school concerts.
We refreshed our contact whenever I visited New-Zealand from home in Germany. My condolences to Rae, and his large family.

Distinguished trumpeter; Composer; Arranger; Teacher; Mentor; Visionary; Founder of the Auckland Youth Symphonic Band; Organiser - had the ability to surround himself with like minded supportive people.
