Howard EDWARDS Obituary

EDWARDS, Howard Charles (Ted). Of Otahuhu and Opotiki. Ted passed away on Saturday 12 January 2013 at home with all the family. He was 75. Dearly loved husband of Sonia and loved father of Debbie and Brent McKillop (Opotiki), Louise Edwards and Kam Louie (Hong Kong), Kate Hardwick and Ray Hewlett (Mount Maunganui), Nicola and Hamish Maxwell (Opotiki). Beloved Ted to his grandchildren Chris and Alex Louie (Australia), Stephanie and Alan Hyatt (Palmerston North) and Rebecca McKillop (Auckland), Anna and Ben Hardwick (Australia) and Thomas Hardwick (Wellington), Rita and Howard (Opotiki). The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Toi Ora Health, Dr. Mark Hayward, Liz, Sidi and Kellee for their wonderful care of Ted. Special thanks to Rose Foster. In lieu of flowers donations would be welcomed for the Opotiki Fire Brigade PO Box 175 Opotiki or they may be left at the service. At Ted's request he will be home until Tuesday afternoon before a private cremation. A memorial service will be held at the Opotiki Golf Club on Wednesday 16 January at 1:00 pm. Ted was an exceptionally warm, gentle, kind, and remarkable person.We will never forget the help and support he and Sonia provided us during our stay in Opotiki. Ted you were a much loved friend to us and we will miss you a lot. We pray that your soul rests in peace. We also pray to God to give strength to Sonia and the family to bear this great loss. Our very sincere and heartfelt condolence to Sonia, Debbie, Nicola and the rest of the Edwards family.
