ERUETI, Hori George (Service no. RNZIR G408049) Passed away peacefully on Sunday October 5th 2014 in Tauranga surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of the late Te Aroha Virginia Anita. Cherished father of Marama, Hori, and Dominic and Sonny-Lee. Beloved Koro of Aria and Elyn. Loved by all his brothers, sisters, and cousins and their families. Hori George will be lying at Tawhitinui Marae Barrett Road Whakamaramara and the service will be held today on Wednesday October 8th at 10.00am followed by a burial. I would like to express my condolences to George's family. I was a mate of Georges' when stationed in Singapore. Although I only new him for a year or so I have a lot of fond memories of his laughter and friendship and remember his strong connection to Taranaki and him being very proud of his Iwi and Whakapapa. We played rugby together, worked together, socialised together and spent time out in the field together and there was always this helpful, happy and always smiling mate that was a real pleasure to be around.
It saddens me to hear of his passing.
