Hokena ASHBY Obituary

ASHBY, Hokena (Hokey). 31 October 1944 - 10 September 2022. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Gaylene for 61 years. Cherished father and father in-law of Delwynn and Stan, Hayley, Zane, Ross and Adele, and the late Dale. Loving poppa to Nathan, Kayla, Kayla and Ben, Zak, Kaia, Aria, Jade, Kerrod and Izzy, Trent, and Torban. Great poppy to Roman, Lila, Hudson, Indie, Hadley, and Alex. A fighter to the end. Dearly loved and never forgotten. A celebration of Hokey's life will be held at Waihi Rugby club, Kenny Street, Waihi on Friday 16th September at 1pm, followed by burial at the Waihi Lawn Cemetery. Many thanks to Waihi Family Doctors, Waihi District Nurses, and Holly at Hospice Waikato. Our legend is at rest. Communications to the Ashby family, C/- PO Box 108 Waihi 3641.
