Ivo's moeder was een zus van mijn vader.
Pagina's vol zou ik hier kunnen schrijven .
Hier één van de vele uitstapjes die wij samen maakten toen we beiden geëmigreerd waren, hij naar NZ en ik naar OZ.
Als hij met Sophie hier was met verlof in Nederland kwamen ze natuurlijk ook een paar dagen naar ons toe op Zuid Beveland
Met 2 surfplanken gingen we het Veerse Meer op en we hadden maar één doel : "zo snel mogelijk naar de Veerse dam surfen om daar een kroket te gaan eten in de frituur"

It was sad to hear that Ivor is no longer with us. I would image he would be still doing good deeds right until the end. I can remember his involvement with the Scouts in the early days and of course travelling in the Staff transport to Air NZ and in later years his work as a volunteer driver for the Baptist Home and Hospital and of course his visits to patients there. He always came over for a chat while I was sitting with my wife at lunch time there . You will be sorely missed Ivor.

Ik heb altijd genoten van je verhalen als je in Nederland was met Fietje. Oprecht geïnteresseerd en vriendelijk, mooie eigenschappen die je voorleefde en nu een blijvende herinnering zijn.

Lieve Ivo, we gaan je missen.
Bedankt voor je uitleg over de boom pohutukawa toen ik in Nieuw Zeeland was. En je bracht altijd JAFFAS voor mij mee als je in Nederland kwam. Geweldig. Rust zacht lieve oom.

On behalf of the Auckland Dutch Club we would like to extend our sincere condolences to Sophie and family at this very sad time. Ivo was much loved and respected by the Holland House community. We will miss his happy face at our monthly markets, where he was a very loyal and happy visitor. Rest in Peace!

Ivo was my first real boss at ANZ and I enjoyed working with him on the balancing machines in the engine shop. My last talk to him was last year where we spent some time talking about boats and radios.
Such a sad day.

Sophie our Heart felt sympathy, thoughts and prayers going out to you and your family. Ivo was a lovely man, always friendly whenever we met up. May you be upheld and kept strong every day by the love of God surrounding you. Your faith will enable you in the days ahead. Very much in our thoughts. Rest In Peace dear Ivo.
