Henry SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Henry Dangerfield (Hank) Peacefully on 24 October 2015, surrounded by family and close friends at Hospice North Shore. Dearly beloved husband of Jill and much loved father of Shane, Jeff and Lynley, father in law of Anne, Tim, Louise and Nikki, grandfather of Nick, Sam, Carlos, Jake, Jenna, Scott, Jess and Siobhane, and great grandad of Molly and Lucia. A service will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday 29 October at 3.30pm followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice North Shore, www.hospicenorthshore.org.nz/donate/ would be appreciated.

SMITH, Henry Dangerfield (Hank) Respected member of the West End Rowing Club for over fifty years and Life Member of the club. Henry joined West End in 1951 and enjoyed red-coat success with the eight in 1953, 1955 and 1956 also winning the pair in 55 & 56. Around the club Henry gave generously of his time and skills to keep the club and boats running. His contribution to West End and generous friendship to our members is greatly appreciated and will be missed. Sincerest condolences from the Officers and Members of West End Rowing Club
