Hendrika VAN DAM Obituary

VAN DAM, Hendrika Johanna (Riek). On August 20th 2014, peacefully at Auckland City Hospital after a short illness, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Hess, loving mother of Tony and Eileen, Bill and Terese (deceased) and Wilma and Greg and treasured Oma to her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great -grandchildren. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Riek at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 2 Kirkbride Road, Mangere on Monday, August 25th 2014 at 11 am followed by interment in the Mangere Lawn Cemetery.

We wish to extend our sympathy to you all in the passing of your mother. We valued the friendship that Riek gave us and have special memories of our chats together. We were privileged to be able to offer hospitality to both Hess and Riek on their visits to Sarjants Rd.We continue to remember the family in our prayers. Unfortunately we are unable to be at the service tomorrow, but you will all be in our thoughts during the day.
