ANDERSON, Hemming Douglas (Doug). Service No. 32089 2nd Expeditionary Forces WW11 Of Levin (Formerly Tauranga) Passed away peacefully at Levin Home for War Veterans, on Monday 11th April 2022. Aged 104 years. Dearly loved husband of Lilias, (his wife of 66 years, back together again.) Loved father and father-in- law of Chris and Viv, Logan and Lorraine, Libby and Dave and Gareth and Jacqui. Much loved grandfather and great-grandfather of his many grand and great- grandchildren. A service for Doug will be held at The Levin Home for War Veterans, Prouse Street, Levin, on Wednesday 13th April 2022 at 11.00am. Thereafter private cremation at The Avenue Crematorium, Levin. Hi, this message is a bit late, but I'd like to offer my sympathy on the recent passing of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. I have been trying recently to find my Great Aunty Stella's family, and had no success until I saw this notice recently in the paper. My mother was Peggy Barrell, and her father was Ray, Stella's brother. I would love to get in touch, if that was alright with you. My mother, who passed in 1998 always spoke with such fondness of her Aunty Stella. You were fortunate to have Hemming with you for so long, what a long life he had. I remember the cards we always got at Christmas, signed Aunty Stella and Pat. Is Pat still around? I'm unsure if my email will be visible, so it's [email protected]
