Jenny, Guy, Sam and Nicholas, I'm so very sad to hear of this news.
Helen was such a great positive influence in my early years. From horses, kittens, reading books, driving round in the red ute, picking plums, feeding chickens, pigs and the pet possum. She always had time for me and my many many impromptu visits where I'd appeared across the paddocks to see her.
Dump trips, babysitting and many a Christmas morning were spent together and Helen always instilled great fun in everything she did with me.
She will be very missed.
Thinking of you all at this time xx

Where to start on the huge part Helen was of our lives in Waitakere and the fun she was. The children loved her, chief babysitter, dump tripper, endlessly patient and delighted at the often unannounced arrivals of the children at her door, the cats and more cats, paddock cats, cats under the house; the horse riding lessons for Steph, the paralytic laughter as she and I attempted to transport large pigs one by one in the wheelbarrow across the paddock from the sty to the crate. We loved her. Thinking of you Jenny, Sam & co. Yes, McListers, the "dramatic performances" too !

Hello Jenny and Guy. We send our sincere condolences to you and your family. I remember growing up as your neighbour and Frankie being my best mate. Helen was dux at Whakatane HS and a talented tennis player. I always admired her and the last time I saw her was at Margaret´s funeral in Chch. I am now 80 and chugging along very slowly now living in Takapuna. Cherish her memories as they are precious. Love Arthur and Pam

Dear Jenny and Whanau
We were very sad to hear of Helen´s passing. She was a very bright, creative and generous lady with a great sense of humour. We count ourselves so very lucky to have had her as a neighbour for so long.
Our many happy memories of Helen include our sheep maintenance `working bees´.
They were always more fun in her company. The little concerts she organised with Sam and Nick also come to mind. Always great fun too.
Much love and sincerest sympathy on your loss,
Brendan and Mary

Dear Jenny
So sad to hear this news. We are very sorry for your loss. Helen was a feisty character filled with energy, intelligence, kindness and love of animals. She will leave a great gap in your family's life. I was pleased Ces and the others got to see her over the summer. I will always fondly remember her singing and dancing in line with her sisters. Sending our love and condolences Penny, Rob and whanau
