Our wonderful Aunty Helen has departed this world,
In much esteem she will always be held,
The mighty mum of Chretien Vale,
Aunty Helen often told a hilarious tale,
Known far and wide for an open home to all,
The orchard in Te Kauwhata became everyone´s port of call,
Aunty Helen´s cooking went on twenty-for seven,
Tasting it sent you to culinary heaven,
Hospitality and much love when we came from Welly,
In fact given to all...Pakeha, Maori or Dally,
Aunty Helen sure had some style,
I will remember her always with a smile.
