Helen MCKINLEY Obituary

MCKINLEY, Helen Ruth. On 12th September 2025, Helen died peacefully at Edmund Hillary Retirement Village. Dearly loved wife of Ken for 62 years, loved mother and mother-in-law of Ross and Janice, Paul and Helen. Cherished Nana to Aleisha, Holly, Cameron and Emerson. Thank you for the Sunday night dinners, the interesting discussions and many fun times. We will really miss you but have many fond memories. Special thanks to the Healthcare workers at Edmund Hillary Retirement Village for their loving care of Helen. A private family service will be held.

Many memories of times at St Barnabas, as Ken, Helen and my mother were of similar age as we boys are now, and we boys were preparing to start our way in the world. Life seemed to move slower and calmer, or perhaps we saw it that way. Ken, Ross and all McKinley family we haven't met; in Yorkshire parlance, you've all been through the mill these past couple of years and our hearts go out to you.
