Helen HOGG Obituary

HOGG, Helen Rosemary (nee Nicholas). Died peacefully at home on 19 October 2023 surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Much loved wife of Paul, loved mother/mother in law to Mike and Kylie, Sarah and Sam, and cherished Mana to Ryan and Angus. You lived for your family and we will treasure that love forever. A service to celebrate Helen's life to be held at Purewa Cemetery on Thursday 26th October at 2pm. 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank. A beautiful service. Helen always had an aura around her spreading love everywhere. She was a wonderful person to play hockey with and friendly to everyone in the team. Maybe her opponents on the turf had a different view of her feisty play but I still smile about it. All my love to you all. You will have beautiful memories forever.

I was so sad to learn this news yesterday from another teammate from our SLAM hockey days!! I will always remember Helen´s fierce competitive spirit and her passion for her kids! I am certain this spilled over to her precious grandies. She will certainly live on in the hearts of all her teammates! My love to you Paul and family at this time of enormous loss. Very special love to you, too, Barbara as you mourn the loss of your precious and much loved sister! With my forever love. X
