Heather AYRTON Obituary

May I offer condolences on behalf of the Topp family. Heather´s dedication to the service of her community and her unfailing interest in the world around her was inspirational. She was my mother´s friend, so my sisters and I knew her from our childhood. I remember the absolute enthusiasm she poured into everything that she did, no matter how great or small it might have been. We admired her enormously. May she Rest in Peace.

I knew Heather as a wonderfully enthusiastic and dedicated lady and as a Member of the Hokianga Historical Society where we did a number of things together. The one thing we had in common was that my family had lived on Motukaraka Island in the late 1800s and was the property Heather eventually owned.
She will be missed for the many Community roles she played over the years and which are too numerous to enumerate.

Condolences to the whanau of Heather. Heather was an amazing lady, who showed and taught me alot when I started at Kaikohe. Always treated me with a smile and endless knowledge of her work and the area. Truly a wonderful lady who will be missed by us all

I served as a Coroner over a long period while Heather was also a Coroner. She carried out a wonderful service during her long term. I admired her immensely.

I always admired you, Heather - and was somewhat in awe of you too - for the energy you put into everything you did and for the amount you achieved. Your availability, warmth and friendliness was there for everyone and you have been sadly missed in the North since going to Auckland.
