I worked with Hazel in the Geriatric Unit at Green Lane Hospital in the late 1970s. I will always remember the fun we had there, with Hazel leading the way in dressing up and performing at special parties and events. Hazel was a really lovely person and a wonderful occupational therapist. My thoughts and sympathy are with her family.

Sad news for so many.
I worked with Hazel, prescribing wheelchairs and seating to community clients, during the 90s. She earned the respect and affection of all who came into contact with her for her warmth, professionalism and her delicious contributions to morning teas.
My deepest sympathies to all her family members.

I have known Hazel since 1982 when I joined the Mt Albert Scrabble Club. One time we flew to Christchurch for the National Scrabble Tournament and stayed on for a few days as tourists. We went on the TransAlpine train to Greymouth and saw the most incredible scenery.
She was a much loved friend and I will miss her very much. Bev Barker

We knew Hazel for over 30 years as a Scrabble player, friend and one who also loved donkeys. She was a lovely lady and we shall remember her always with affection. Our deepest sympathy goes to all her family. With love, Glynis and Glenn Jennings
