Hazel HOLLOWAY Obituary
HOLLOWAY, Hazel Jean. Passed away after a short illness at Thames Hospital on 2 January 2013; in her 95th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Win. Much loved mother of Sandra Thomas and Carol Gayford, and mother-in-law of Chris. Loved Nan of Lisa, Rebecca and Andrew, Brook, Amy, and the late Michael and Nan of Grayson, Lily, Michael, Isabella, Charlie, Emily and Mickey. A service will be held at Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road, Mt Eden on Tuesday, 8 January at 12.30pm, followed by interment at Purewa Cemetery. I had the pleasure to have known Hazel (Nan) for most of my life. She was an amazing lady who was kind, generous and loving.
I have such fond memories growing up with my very dear friend Rebecca, Hazel's granddaughter and spending family events and holiday's together which always included Nan. I remember Nan was always so accommodating with all of us girls descending on her Bach at the Mount, she never complained and welcomed me with open arms.
An amazing spirit and a kind soul – I am very sorry to be unable to make the funeral. My thoughts go out to the whole family.
