Harley SMYTH Obituary
SMYTH, Harley James. of 'Atrig Station', RD10, Dannevirke. Suddenly in France on Sunday October 1st 2017. Aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Rosemary, much loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Nicola , Andrew and June (Toronto) and Louise and Walter. Loved Grandad to Ryan, Stacy, Pippa and Eva; Rachel, Gabrielle and Harley; and Felix. Dearly loved brother to Elizabeth. Harley has arrived home from France and a service to celebrate his life will be held at St John the Baptist, Anglican Church, High Street, Dannevirke on Saturday 28th October at 1.30 pm followed by interment at Mangatera Lawn Cemetery.

Met Harley all those years ago when he first came to our district ( nearly sixty I think ) and was a privilege to attend an evening at Mangatoro when he decided to move nearer Louise. Always friendly and we could have a chat but his interest in the French Language was something he really enjoyed and loved. Always a Gentleman. Eion and Bethia
