Hi Debbie and family
Please accept our sincere condolences on the sudden death of Hamish. Hamish will be missed by us all at our beloved Pourerere Beach whether it was seeing him out fishing or on an evening walk. Unfortunately we were unable to attend today.

Hi Debbie and family
Theo and I were very sorry not to be there for Hamish's farewell. We will always remember you and he walking on the beach and having nice catch up conversations while your dogs and our grandbabies played in the sand. He was such a competent boaty, fisherman and diver and was always there to help anyone who needed it. Such a kind, respectful and respected man.
We now think of you, Debbie and family. We know how much you will miss him and please know you are supported by us and family. When you (and the roads) are ready we look forward to giving you a hug out at the beach. Our sincere love to you all.

Dear Debbie and family,
We were so saddened to learn of Hamish's untimely passing. I was hoping to make it to the Service on Saturday, but our roads are 'emergency travel only' so I won't be there to give you a hug. Much love and many thoughts to you and your family. Love, Emily Crofoot

My deep condolences to Hamishes family wife and children on the loss of your husband and Dad. Its been a long time since we had a few old Milwaukees in Denton Texas , playing rugby, having a great time with mates building memories plenty of laughs and adventures and generally skivving about. Hom was great company, dry sense of humour and a man of good principles. I think of him with regard and fondness for all the excellent Texas adventures! Vale Hom rest in peace mate.. Euge

Hi Debbie, my name is John Thompson and we met once at one of the HBRC meetings.
I was a class mate of Hamish's at Lindisfarne. He invited me several times during the school holidays to stay with him on his farm and so I did and they were wonderful holidays where he taught me to ride motorbikes, round up sheep, pluck dead sheep, shoot ducks and turkeys, trap opposums, etc. My boyhood was hugely richer because of him.
And we enjoyed school life together, playing in the same rugby teams, etc. He was always more responsible than me, someone who had a natural maturity and sense of responsibility.
I only caught up with him a few times in adulthood (my fault as I moved away from HB) but my sister, who lives in Waipukurau keep me up to date with his doings. I am very sorry to have missed a good catch up.
I look forward to learning of the new funeral date.
Best regards, John Thompson
