Gwendoline ARMSTRONG Obituary

ARMSTRONG, Gwendoline Grace (nee Ayling). 4 July 1923 - 1 April 2016. "Like leaves that fall in autumn turning gold against the grey, she fades away." Passed away peacefully, with family present, aged 92 years. Dearly beloved daughter of the late Leo and Phoebe (nee Hamlin) and the cherished sister of the late Herbert. Loved sister-in-law to Marlen Armstrong and the late Marie Ayling. Adored wife of the late Leon and loving mother to Noel, Leonie and Jeanette. Beloved grandmother of Kent, Cory, Jimi, Mark and the late Steven. Loving great-grandmother to Violet. A funeral service will be held at St James Anglican Church, Church Road, Mangere Bridge at 11am on Friday 8 April. Heartfelt thanks to caregivers, many and varied, who helped Gwen live at home.
