ROGERS, Gwenda Mary (previously Moss, nee Bell) 2 August 1924 - 4 June 2021. Loved wife of the late Allen, very fond sister of the late Verna Harrison and the late Shirley Browne. Loving aunt of, and very much loved by, her nieces and nephews - Karen, Sandra, Lorraine, Kevin and Stephen; and Warwick and Malcolm. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Metlife St Vincents for their wonderful care; and very special thanks to Dr Candida Hatherley for her kindness and thoughtfulness. A service will be held at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Monday 14 June at 1pm. My cousin Gwenda was finishing her Cryptic Crossword when I last visited her. An excited greeting was always given us. Pamela Hibbard my sister-in-law and I (Pamela Tremain née Hibbard) were always amazed how bright and how we always spoke of family and happy memories. We enjoyed our visits.
Now there are only 4 cousins left says Pat Vogel (Hibbard), Auckland, John & Rosalind Hibbard, Auckland, Pamela Tremain, Napier and our eldest cousin now Bill Hibbard In Wellington.
We love you Gwenda and enjoyed you being our cousin.
Always call when in Napier extended family. I would love to meet you.
Family is important always.
