Just learned about Greg. Had an opportunity to work with him in Macedonia 1997/98. Great times, great memories. Rest in peace.

I'm very sad to hear of Greg's early passing . I worked with him through the credit union movement in the 1980's . Very skilled and always a gentleman .

I first met Greg Pirie on social media in 2011 when he posted this article on my blog http://villagefinance.net/2011/05/03/be-wary-of-assumptions/. Greg was a pioneer at the frontiers of the global credit union movement. I was privileged to meet him and his sudden decease comes as a great shock. My condolences to Greg's family.

I worked with Greg at the NZ Association of Credit Unions in the late 1990s. He was a man of inspiration and conviction. I remember his fondness of photographing road-kill! Rest easy Greg. Kate Church
