A man of strength, integrity, and practicality. A leader I enjoyed working with and respected at AC. Look forward whanau, because he will live on through his tamariki and mokopuna. God bless whanau.

I worked in his directorate when first employed at MCC, had many dealings with him over the years and always appreciated Grant's bone dry sense of humour.

My sincerest sympathies to Diane and the family. I first met Grant in 1978 at Manukau CC and at one stage he was my boss. I continued to encounter him from time to time while he was at Auckland Council, and much admired the work he did there. Grant was a lovely man for whom I had a great deal of respect. I am so sorry to learn of his passing.
