Grant Howard Paul "MOT" McKENZIE

Grant McKENZIE Obituary

McKENZIE, Grant Howard Paul 'MOT'. Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on Sunday the 6th of November 2022 in his 59th year, surround by his family. Loving husband of Lourdes, beloved father of Maria. Much loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Mot will be at 11 Forbes Place, Kawerau until Wednesday the 9th of November after which he will return back home to Northland to Waitaruke Marae, 2/8 Settlement Road, Kaeo where he will be laid to rest at Te Puna Roimata Urupa on Thursday the 10th November at 10.30am. He will be forever in our hearts.

Condolences to the mackenzie whanau.

Mot was a real character. He lived life on his own terms. Some of his antics & adventures were almost surreal. I remember the time he ran for mayor on a bet & helping him with his speech. A couple of nights later we were watching him on tv. I still remember his slogan Mot for Mayor.
Underneath his antics he was a real genuine guy with a soft heart. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
You lived life well Mot , now rest easy
