Grahame HOWLEY Obituary

Much admired and respected friend of the late Joan (née Swann) Schollum family as part of the extended Swann and Durney families.
Grahame was always interested in learning about research into their forebears as well as activities of the most recent generations.
A friend gone but not forgotten. Our thoughts are with Helen and families.

I was saddened and surprised to hear that Grahame had passed away. I shared a few moments with him at a recent school Old Boys Luncheon and he was in good spirits. My condolences to family. From school through to our working life and, more lately, at our Kings lunch gatherings, our paths crossed and recrossed and always most pleasantly. I am sorry I wont be there to say a last farewell.

As a 17 year old I recall meeting Gahame for the first time at Freyberg St. all those years ago. A lovely bloke. Sincerest condolences to Helen - and to that team of four. Fondly remembered.

With great sadness I post this message on behalf of my late Mother Najibie, my brother Edrick and myself, with the passing of our dear cousin.
We have lost the loveliest of souls to Heaven.
Grahame left the world a better place because he was in it and we are the richer, for having known him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace with God.
Always remembered fondly.

What a shock to recieve this sad sad news in France. Our love & prayers are with you & there will be candles flickering in a beautiful Cathedral tomorrow. Sending so much love from afar from your oldest friend. My thoughts & prayers will be with you on Wednesday.

Howley, Grahame. Our dear Grahame. "I may not be related but I am Family" you stated so often. You lived this so truly. We loved you for enriching our lives with your high values, your compassion, your warm hospitality, ready wit and good humour, and wonderful story-telling. Thank you for the good times we have shared. We will forever miss you. May God continue to Bless you and keep you in his heart. RIP Mary, Christine and Carmel.
