He was a year ahead of me at Pakuranga College then I followed him to Otago University where he was very kind to me as a fresher who was a bit bewildered and homesick. What an outstanding contribution to NZ education!

Dear Barbara, I´m so sorry to hear you have lost Graham. He had a wonderful career in education and was such a kind person. I remember being part of the principals´ group he organised to attend the conference in Edinburgh going via Italy and Turkey. It was a wonderful experience and he held everyone together.

Sincere sympathy to all affected family. Graham was a great man and colleague who I worked with on SPANZ. He set very high standards for himself and others, always wanting to assist in any way that he could. He definitely made a difference in all that he did - rest easy my friend, you have done a good job.

Condolences to the Young family. Graham was a great man and one thing I recall was in Year 9, being called to hi office. I was so scared, only to learn that he calls all students around their birthday to meet them and chat with them. A great touch. A great leader who leaves behind a super legacy.

Very sad to hear the news of Graham's passing.
Fond memories of growing up with Graham and his family in Howick, from school days, playing rugby (his father was our coach), going sailing, athletics, to those noisy teenage parties!
My deepest condolences to all his family, we have all lost a wonderful, caring man.
Best wishes to all,
David Barber

Oh Barbara. We are sad to read of Graham's death but we know it was his time to leave us. We remember his support and positive attitude as McLean Tower Apartments grew into a community. We have enjoyed knowing both of you and look forward to seeing you again soon. Love from us both. Beth and Bill Boag

I remember Graham as a colleague, from the early days at James Cook High School. Maths and Phys Ed were his subject and was a full of life people person. He was very popular with all staff and pupils.
