Dear Joyce, David, Megan and Christina. I´m so sorry for your loss and for being unable to make Graham´s service. I know he put up a huge fight which hopefully gave you all more precious time with him. Whitianga won´t be quite the same with 2 old boys missing from the "crew". I always enjoyed having a chat with Graham at the Shark Bar and I´ll fondly remember the time he gave me a ride home from fitty. The journey seemed faster than normal as we chatted of Kings Road days, discussed many varying topics and solved all of the world´s problems with plenty of laughs inbetween. He was a top gent and will be very missed. xox Ryan

To Graham's family, please accept our sincere condolences on a well-liked team member who played a significant role when the Teachers Seniors were the "giant-killers" in Auckland senior club rugby. A great club man with whom dear Dave Dalgliesh will have a lot to share when it comes to the game played in heaven. Duty done, may you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Joyce David Megan and Chrissy and extended family.
I have known Graham since the early 1980´s as we were both Detectives in the New Zealand Police Criminal Investigation Branch .
Graham was an outstanding Police Officer and it has been my privilege to work with him.
In recent years our catch ups have been sporadic but warmly received.
In recent times our discussions via Facebook over rugby and policing matters have been enjoyable.
You have given your life to public service and the love and support of your family has made this possible.
I salute you Graham for a life well lived RIP mate.

Graham (Ding) Bell is to me an unforgettable memory from our days together playing rugby for the Teachers club in Auckland. Ding had a very droll sense of humour. When asked where he was going part way through one afternoon post match social session his answer was, with a dead pan face "to detect". He was back on duty later that afternoon. Ding was always serious about his career as a police officer and this is evidenced by his life long commitment to apprehending "thieving scum" and to his being awarded the QSM. We have lost a wonderful man and for me a dear friend. Ding was without doubt "one in a million."

Always had a laugh and enjoyed a conversation over sport in the Barracks Bar in Auckland. Not to mention a few beers were consumed. Police rugby and catching crims were popular topics. A top man Ding Bell.
