Graeme GLEESON Obituary

Gleeson, Graeme Patrick. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Graeme Patrick Gleeson on 22 July 2025, in Auckland. Born in Feilding on 26 July 1936. Beloved husband of the late Jo, father of Debbie, Tracey, John and Jo-Anne, father-in-law of Kevin, Mark, Ramona, and Don, grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, who all miss him very much. Loved youngest brother of the late Jack, Owen, and Bernie, and brother-in-law of the late Ida, and of Edna and Nancy. Former R.A.F. pilot and Air New Zealand Captain. A private family farewell service was held on 28 July 2025. We love you Dad and Pa - you'll be forever in our hearts.

Graeme was a friend, fellow crewmember, expert aviator and a thorough gentleman. Our paths hadnt crossed in ages but memories of yesteryear are still sharp. You have been there done that and it was a priviledge to work with you.

Our sincere condolences from Jan Walters-Gleeson and family. Pete used to tell us stories of Graeme and always talked so fondly of his Uncle. We were always so grateful when Graeme visited Pete in Mercy Hospice, St Marys Bay, Ponsonby in January 2019 and sat with him reminiscing of family times. R.I.P.
