I'm ever-so-proud to say that Graeme Dyson was one of my cuzzies.
I met my birth mother, Dorrie Hanson, nee Dyson (and, unknowingly, also my father, Norman), on November 28th, 1986, following the Adult Adoption Information Bill finally being passed into law in September 1985.
Dorrie died on July 27th, 1993 and only a select few knew about me until that day. Not long afterwards I received a phone call and the male voice on the other end of the line said: "My name is Graeme and I'm your cousin. I didn't know anything about you and I want to get to know you." I very happily agreed to his request to have dinner with him and his partner, Margaret ... and they have been in my life ever since.
One of the greatest gifts received during my lifetime has been the special friendship offered to me by Graeme and Margaret and their respective extended families, which would also, later, include his brother, Hugh.
So loved and so missed by Lynnette
