I last saw Gordon in Tauranga when I visited Beverly Nisbet (Brown) in 2014. Both of us have long associations, having attended Tararua College, Pahiatua as Foundation pupils.
In my case, your father was a link to my late mother, Jessie, who was one month older than him. Their respective mothers, Dulcie and Jessie were great friends. In fact, the original Lemberg farm in Kakiriki was sold to Gordon's parents. From that farm, my Danish-born grandfather departed for WW1; the Battle of the Somme.
I have enjoyed a friendship with Gordon and your late mother, Paddy, over the years.
You may be interested to know that our aunt Margaret Lawrence (wife of the late Raymond) died in Waikanae only a few days later on Saturday, 24 September.
My best wishes to you all,
Beverley Lawrence (Charles and Jessie Lawrence, late Nireaha)

To all the Wilsher families, and extended families.
I was saddened to read that you had lost your Dad. He was always the Gentleman. I was surprised that he was 93. Time certainly does pass quickly. Condolences to you all at this sad time.
Kindest Regards

Thanks for all the wonderful memories Uncle Gordon over the years from the Christmas's we spent together, the times we had at the farm as kids and all the family get togethers and even just this year getting emails from you which I will cherish. What a fabulous surprise. We were lucky to have an Uncle like you.
Sorry I can't be there with all the family but my thoughts are with you all.
Lots of Love

Our family were very sad to learn of the passing of Gordon.
He was one of the most caring men that I have come across in my life.
His wife Paddy (Hazel) was my father's first cousin, and we grew to know all of Gordon's family quite well.
Gordon used to phone me every Xmas - as he said he did not send out Xmas cards, and it was great hearing from him each year and catching up on all the family news between us.
We never got to keep in touch so much when he and Paddy left Palmerston North and moved to Tauranga, but the thoughts of them were always with us.
Now our thoughts are with his family and hope all is well with them.
We will never forget Gordon and his family and as time moves on we tend to forget just how old we are all getting.
Hoping all is going well with the family and our kindest thoughts are with you all at this time.
Much love,
Dawn & Don Isles - Palmerston North - and all our Campbell family members.
