Uncle Gordon, what a lovely send off for you today, I am sure you loved it. Mum and you were like two peas in a pod and Mum always loved talking to and spending time with you and Aunty Margaret. I know she will be pleased to see you again. RIL Uncle Gordon, you have earned your wings and a special place in Heaven. Love Lee xx

Uncle Gordon was a constant joy. Nothing was too much or too bothersome for him. He was positive in his outlook and ever willing to lend a hand. He liked to discuss American politics, and it was a privilege to listen to his wisdom. He was a man who deserves honour, and I honour him today.

I would like to pay tribute to Gordon for being the good man that he was. He was a good husband, a good father and a good person to all the people who were fortunate enough to be friends with him. He was a man happy with what he had in life and always had a positive attitude toward everything. This was displayed in the way he approached his illness which he had for many years. Gordon, thank you for the time that we spent with each other. It has been my privilege to know you.
