Gordon and Erica were dear friends for 55 years. Gordon took an interest in our family as they grew up and they, in turn, respected him greatly. My Eric and Gordon had a deep and meaningful relationship, trying to solve business and world problems. Goodbye dear friend. I hope you find Eric in heaven so you can carry on where you left off. My condolences to Colin, Stephen and Jenny from Kath

I just wanted to say this from the bottom of my heart to the family and friends who have lost a dear friend a father uncle, a father in law, grandfather, a great grandfather, our condolences goes out to you guys. He was just a genuine guy who will stop at nothing to give anyone free advice on anything and everything in life .
He rang to say his goodbye and said, "Thanks for being a really true friend we had our ups and downs but you were always there for me and thanks to you for that." So that´s all I needed to hear from this man truly blessed to hear and have met him . From us here, Farewell my friend till we meet again love from the Foua family. I will miss your sense humour.

Thanks for being a good mate over the years Gordon, going way back to when you use to call in and catch up with our Dad Jim to reminisce on the days up at Cashmores Mill. You were always giving with your time and never thought twice, letting borrow whatever I needed researching Dad's early life from when he first started with Cashmore Bros Limited in 1936. We certainly had a few laughs along the way. Most of all, thanks for the phone calls out of the blue, just to say 'hello, how're you going?" last one being only a couple of months ago,
