POWELL, Glyn Griffiths. On 26 November 2019. Loving husband of the late Betty (nee Donnelly). Loving father of Julie Young, Sandy Schlaepfer and Lynda Powell. Loving grandfather of Matt, Jamie, Shane, Ryan, Brett and Jacob and loving great grandfather of 11 beautiful great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Glyn's life will be held in the War Birds Hangar 2, 824 Harvard Lane, Ardmore on Tuesday 3 December at 1pm.

Know of and marvelled at Glyn's work for years.had the pleasure of meeting this fine gentleman on one occasion . His name and abilities have cropped up many times in my conversations with people both here in NZ and U.K. .he has left such a lasting legacy with his commitment to the ongoing construction and flying of this wonderful aircraft that he loved so much...the Mosquito. Whenever you mention Mosquito you mention Glyn.
Condolences to his HUGE family, you must be so proud of this man. Because of you Glyn this memory of the Mosquito flying over our house on Waiheke will remain in my mind forever! Thank you. Barbara Hunter member of New Zealand Bomber Command Association.
