Gloria LEWIS Obituary

LEWIS, Gloria Florence (nee Pearce). On Tuesday 9 September 2025 peacefully at Whakatane Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Very much loved wife of the late Trevor Lewis. Cherished eldest daughter of the late Eric and Eileen Pearce. Very much loved sister of Tony, Sheryl and sister-in-law of Chas Kereopa (deceased). A funeral service for Gloria will be held in the Hiona St Stephen's Anglican Church, Church Street, Opotiki on Monday 15 September at 1pm followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to St John's Opotiki online or maybe left at the service. Due to health reasons, we will be with you in spirit as we join with you online at Gloria's funeral service. For so many years, & even when she was very ill, Gloria served her community with untiring devotion. Jim & Vonny have greatly valued her friendship & support over these many years.
Well done good & faithful daughter of God. May you enjoy the full awareness of the Lord's Love along with Trevor your beloved.

Dear Tony and Sheryl, my thoughts and condolences are with you during this difficult time. I met Gloria sixty years ago when I first worked with her at age 17, we had a lot of fun and she taught me everything I know about accounting, figures, and stuff. I was looking forward to catching up with her at the beginning of October on my way from Gisborne to Tauranga, but that is now not to be. Gloria has been very supportive to me in the last nine months following the deaths of my husband and son. Rest in peace my friend, your old mate Helen
