Gloria DAVEY Obituary

DAVEY, Gloria Olivette (nee Daly). 20.04.1934 to 15.8.2023. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Te Aroha Community Hospital. Loving wife of the late Alex Davey, adored mum and mum-in-law of Malcolm and Myra, Julie and Warrick, Chris and Vicki, Steve and Kim, Bart and Brigitte and (the late) Lucy and Dean. Gma of 16 and Great Grandma to 13½. A very caring and loving person. Life was always better with a hug from mum and she had lots to give. Our family appreciates the love and care mum received these last three years while at Te Aroha Community Hospital and Lawrence House. A celebration of Mum's life will be held at St David's Church in Te Aroha on Saturday 19th August at 11am, followed by light refreshments at the church hall. Burial will be at Te Aroha Cemetery after refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Te Aroha Community Hospital would be much appreciated. She was a sunshine and have shared so many wonderful warm hugs and warmth, I promise that we will share her beauty and warmth with others while we can here on this planet.
She is forever in our heart!

Always with a smile never missed a hug. Thank you family for sharing your gorgeous Gloria with us she was ones of life's angels. Never a bad word and the brightest personality to go with the smile. Must of been an awesome mum cos she was very proud of her brood.

DAVEY, Gloria. Died peacefully on 15 August 2023. Dearly loved elder daughter of the late Les and Eunice Daly, and sister of Lynn and Elaine (both deceased). Special treasured sister and sister-in- law of Colin and Kath. Adored aunt to Craig and Ali, Grant and Amanda, Jan and Chris, Paul and Kate and their families. Forever in our hearts.
