Gloria BARRETT Obituary

BARRETT, Gloria. On February 20th 2016, peacefully at North Shore Hospital, in her 92nd year. Much loved wife of the late Bob and loved mother and mother- in-law of Paul and Yukari, Beth, Douglas and Marie, and Ian and Mairi. Beloved grandma and "Mrs B" of Emily and John, Sarah, Therese, Anna, Luke; Kathleen, Darrin; Nickie; Susan, Mark and Chloe, and Luke and great-grandma of Blake. Much loved sister of Joy and Noel and their family. A service celebrating Gloria's life will be held in the Northcross Church, 826A East Coast Road, Northcross on Friday, February 26th 2016 at 12.30 p.m. followed by interment at North Shore Memorial Park Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your loss of a mother and grandmother who was a good friend of our Mum . The friendship dates back to before they married then when married shared some travel and honeymoon adventures together .Pictures of Gloria and Marg taking a ride in a pickup, honeymoon couples and bike riding in Christchurch. In more recent times we were introduced to your Parents at Northcross .Bob was a very handy man helping in the church and bookshop at that time with the support of your Mum.

Just wanting to pass on my deepest sympathy to you all at the passing of your mum. I spent time with your mum while she stayed with my mum when Aunty Ruby passed away. I will always remember how caring she was to my mum at that time. Beth, Douglas and Ian I still remember a holiday we all shared in Arrowtown with Aunty Ruby & Uncle Jim Brass many years ago. Once again my deepest sympathies.
