Glenda PARKS Obituary

PARKS, Glenda Christine (nee Patten). Passed away on 2nd September 2025, aged 70, at Mary Potter Hospice after a short battle with cancer. Loved wife of David, loved mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Erin, Jennifer and Simon, grandmother to Riley. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated. As per Glenda's request, a private service has been held. A memorial service will be held at later date.

I was so sorry to read about Glenda's death. I worked with her at Scots College for many years, and she was a wonderful teacher and amazing to work with.
I send you all my deepest sympathy. May her memory be a blessing

Glenda was a wonderful educator and supportive influence on thousands of young people. Her establishment and support for students at Scots College and her support for me when I arrived to Head the Middle School was immense. She will be sadly missed. Nga mihi. Matt Allen

I remember when i was really struggling with my maths assignment and I came to Glenda for help and she guided me through it with ease and made me understand it and I will never forget how to do those maths problems now, very much thanks to her ! She was also not only a tutor but a lovely person to talk to when I had problems too, she has been a huge help and will forever be missed

Oh my when G text me last week I feared I might not get to say goodbye. I worked closely with Glenda at Scots and together we were quite some team. Learning Support as we see it today began with Glenda. She was fun, smart and a loyal friend. We kept in touch with regular coffee and a chin wag at Palmers. I will miss her. My sincere condolences to you all , David, Jenny and Richard, I know she adored you all. Would love to hear when memorial service may be. Take care of each other and best wishes. Sarah Whyte
