Gladys SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Gladys (née McGregor) (Joy). 5 February 1933 - 31 December 2024. A true and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. 91 amazing years. Born Chatham Islands. Husband Ashley (deceased). Sadly missed by sons David, Robin, Gregory, Jeremy and Daniel, their wives Helen, Chrissy and Arlene, grandchildren Melanie, Julia, Carolyn, Ashlee, Jordan, Daniel, Chloe, Lara, Jaxon and Lincoln, and great-grandchildren Thomas, William, Olive, Quinn and Eva, plus Lisa and her friends at Elim Church and Al-Anon Papatoetoe. Funeral Elim Church Botany Road. Friday 10th January 11.00am In lieu of flowers, a donation to Al Anon Papatoetoe or any branch gratefully acknowledged. Private cremation to follow.

Dear Smith Family
Thank you for the wonderful service for Joy yesterday. I learnt so much about her, her early life and her strength and determination. She was a remarkable woman!

Joy was a lovely, lively and interesting woman. I appreciated her strength knowledge and her support of others in Al-Anon. I will miss her at our Manurewa Meetings.
