Gladys MANNING Obituary

MANNING, Gladys Adeline (Glad). Passed away on 11 May 2013. Beloved wife of the late Cliff Manning, mother of Jan and Craig and great friend of Colin and Sandie. We will treasure a life time of memories. Our lovely mother is now at peace after a wonderful life full of good health, family, friends and good times. A caring and compassionate lady, fiercely independent, she viewed people and life from the very best perspective. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Auckland Hospital. A celebration of Glad's life will be held at her home on Thursday, 16 May at 3.30pm. Those wishing to attend please phone (09) 575 7073 or call Jan or Craig. No flowers by request.

She took such wonderful care of our Father and Mother, Giff and Thel in their last months for which we will always be grateful. We had so many good times and we have so many beautiful memories. We thought you would always be there Aunty Glad - the head of the family is now having a well deserved rest.

MANNING, Gladys Adeline (Nana). Loved grandmother of Todd, Owen, Scott, Natasha, Anthony, and Briar, and great grandmother of Tyler, Aston, Elyse and William. Nana was a loving grandmother and endlessly cheerful. She never hesitated to welcome her family into her home, and we all have great memories of staying there. Most of our memories together as cousins centre around nana and her home; of her reading to us as children, playing in the garden and her never ending supply of icy sliceys. She was the most dependable source of support and hospitality; so for this among other things, she will be greatly missed.
