Very sad to hear of Gillian“s passing. Gillian played the organ and St Saviours Kaitaia and encouraged is all in the choir. She taught our children music as well. Always enjoyed spending time with Gilliam.
Love to her children Richard, Justine and Charmaine .

Such a shock to read of your passing Gillian. I have many memories of coming to your beautiful home to care for Pat.
We had great conversations on gardening, healthy food, wildlife and many other topics. I especially remember how excited you were to have more porks breeding and nesting in your magnificent trees, and watching them coming and going. I also have found memories of going to Lake Ngatu so you could swim with your dog, while I pushed Pat around the lake in a wheelchair. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I've known Gillian since we were at primary school together in Karori, Wellington. We both attended Wellington Girls' College, and then Victoria University. I would say, though, that I only got to know Gillian really well later in our lives. She was a lovely person, "the salt of the earth", full of life, irrepressible, called a spade a spade. I love music, and appreciated her musicality. We lived quite a long way apart, she in Kaitaia, I in Auckland, (a long day's journey apart), so we met only occasionally, but I really loved and appreciated her. I'm more than a bit devastated to learn that she is dead. I would dearly love to be able to talk with her daughter Justine, so if Justine could phone me some time in the next few weeks I would greatly appreciate that.

I send my love and deep sympathy to everybody else who loved Gillian.
