CASSIDY, Gerald Joseph (RNZA). On Nov 11, 2011, at The Princess Margaret Hospital after a short illness, aged 87 yrs. 'Beloved husband of the late Herena Kura Cassidy (d.1988) and the late Joyce Mariel Howe-Cassidy (d.1999). Much loved father and father- in-law to John and Wendy and Granddad to Tawio and Kura. Loved brother of Patricia and Bob and the late Brian, Noel, Annette, Lorna and Joe. A very special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of Princess Margaret Hospital, Ashburton Hospital and Christchurch Hospital for their care of Gerald over the last few months. The service to celebrate Gerald's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from Whitmore or London Streets, on Wednesday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a private cremation.
