George WILSON Obituary

WILSON, George Weston. Passed away peacefully in Whangamata (formerly of Pukekohe), on 9th April, 2018. Beloved husband for 60 years of Joy, father and father-in- law of Peter and Julie, Darryl and Maree. Much loved Grandpa of Aaron and Amy, Tess, Samantha and Mitchell, Alexander and Brit, and Francesca. Loved Great- Grandpa George of Henry and Rose. A service for George will be held at the Whangamata Baptist Church, Port Road, Whangamata, on Friday 13th April, at 2pm, followed by private cremation. A further celebration of George's life will also be held on Saturday 12th May at the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club, Nelson Street, Pukekohe, at 2pm, for his Pukekohe family and friends.

Today, we lost our dear big couzzie' George after many years of being apart but always in our thoughts in the UK. We will always remember our holidays over there together - George as tour guide and chauffeur. Also, his and Joy's visits over here to us including our 7 day whirlwind tour of Europe!
It was lovely when having a chat with Joy, on a Monday morning, to have a quick word with him after he had put the washing out!!
Our heartfelt sympathies go to Joy and all the family at this time with all our fondest loving memories.

Love and best wishes to the Wilson family on the recent loss of George. We fondly remember his visits to the UK with Joy to our family home and meeting our family. Also, extending hospitality to Clare and Steve when they stayed in Whangamata on their travels around New Zealand.
