MITCHELL, George. The hearts of all staff, friends and family of Lees Group are very heavy today. The news of the tragic death of George Mitchell, former Senior Executive of Lees Delta Marine and an integral part of Lees Marine for more than three decades. Within the last month George had been to see us still contributing positive thoughts and ideas. He was always the gentleman, respected by all. George was a driving force promoting the New Zealand marine industry. Many messages of condolence have come through from our suppliers around the world especially Italy. Our love, sympathy and support go out to Janet, the boys, their loved ones and the rest of the family.
