George MIDDLETON Obituary

MIDDLETON, George David. On Saturday, 25 September 2021, our dearly loved George, passed away peacefully at CHT St Johns rest home in Auckland after a series of heart attacks. George is the beloved husband and soul mate of Epi, loving Dad to Julie, Kim, Karl, Phil and Louise, and adored Poppa of Troy, Jade, Yasmin, Jared, Maya, Jamie, Zoe, Dayna, Lilah, Josiah, Danielle, Mark, and Rosie, and Great Grandfather to Oscar, Sophie, Zoe, and Lily. George lived an incredible 89 years and touched the lives of so many with his love, laughter, and music. Over his lifetime, he was a talented boxer, artist, gymnast, and musician who could play the accordion, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele and sing a country and western tune. The funeral will be held under level 3 lockdown restrictions, which sadly means only 10 family members can attend. It will be held on Friday 1 October, at Morrisons Funeral Parlour, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson. The ceremony will be live-streamed. You will need to send the family your email address if you wish to view it. We want to thank the team at CHT St Johns for their love and care of George and for staying by his side when we could not be there because of the lockdown. We also want to thank his lovely carers from Vision West, Sarah, Samantha and Jihan.
