George BUTTON Obituary

BUTTON, George Corban. A special person who left us so suddenly on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Aged 44 years. Much loved best friend of Marja and dad of Dana and Tia, treasured son of Frances, Rob and the late Lloyd, brother of Jocelyn, and grandson of Barbara and the late George Hayward, and the late Dorothy and Alfred Button, awesome uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many. After sharing our last few days together in Westport, a farewell service celebrating George's life was held on Friday, 22 July 2016. Then whanau and friends walked to the Orowaiti Cemetery where George was laid to rest with the approval of all of his whanau. George's whanau are humbled by the aroha shown to them by the community of Westport. Special thanks to Graeme Ngatai and his team for hosting George's Tangi and service and their continued support for Marja, Dana and Tia. Thank you all for the tributes and memories, stories, cards, messages, prayers and flowers received. George is forever in our hearts.
